About VideoJug
VideoJug is one of the view video aggregating sites that include a wide array of self-published content.
Unlike YouTube, many of these videos are created by the VideoJug team. What’s more, if there are any topics you’d like to see the team making a video about, you can submit a request.
Earlier this year, VideoJug has raised $30 million in an equity round that included a private investment consortium that was led by private equity financier Jeremy Coller, founder of Coller Capital.
The consortium also includes the venture capital arm of the hedge fund Sloane Robinson, which invested $20 million in VideoJug’s latest round of funding for a significant minority stake in the video-sharing site. This places the value of VideoJug close to $70 million.
And what to do with all this funding? Perhaps they’ll continue to build up their library of premium content that’s been produced by VideoJug, offering tips on how to negotiate a new salary to how to unblock a toilet. They may also build up their contributing user base for those that would like to create their own series or channel for how-to videos.
