LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb 05, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) announced today the addition of several new games to its Games for Health website. In partnership with HAPPYneuron and Playnormous, Humana is pleased to offer these free online games that engage consumers in ways that are not only entertaining but also healthy.

HAPPYneuron games help with brain fitness through entertaining games that are fun and scientifically developed to challenge your brain and keep it in top gear. The games are designed to stimulate your attention, language, memory, planning and abstract-thinking skills.

Playnormous is an online community for children, parents and teachers that uses fun as a way to inform, educate, and inspire children to make healthier lifestyle choices regarding nutrition and physical activity. It's a site where monsters are the good guys and the games are kid-tested and parent-approved.
As Humana decided to make their HG4H site an all Flash site I can’t give you the link of exactly where to find the games. I’ll have to give you directions instead. Click on the HG4H homepage and click the green enter button. Next, click on play now, which is in yellow text hanging on the tree. Finally, scroll to the right to find the school house (pictured above). That’s where you’ll find Playnormous games.

"We know that a healthier lifestyle doesn't have to be boring and these games are a perfect way for consumers to connect health with a technology they already enjoy," said Paul Puopolo, director of consumer innovation at Humana. "With childhood obesity on the rise, games like Lunch Crunch and Bubble Trouble give kids the lessons in health they need but present the message in an entertaining way - through a little friendly competition online. We also know that baby boomers are looking for ways to keep their minds young, so games like Split Words and Entangled Objects help with cognitive functions and attention skills - exercises that so many adults need."

The games are now available for free on Humana's Games for Health website at
